Messing about... like you do

So... having done a thing (or thing2), thought I'd mess about trying to improve my blog design. Not sure it's an improvement, but it's certainly different. Perhaps, I am getting the hang of this new technology after all...

JournalTOCs and Google Alerts

Well, I'm JournalTOC'd up and have successfully set up some Google alerts... jury is out, waiting for time before committing to how well they're gonna work for me. JournalTOCs is looking well promising. Hadn't discovered it, so had set up lots of individual eTOCs to try to keep up, since the loss of ZETOC, but I think this might be better... will keep you all updated!

Scared of Derby

OK - so I'm catching up with Thing2 and have now read all the Twitter bit.
Scared... its taken me til last year to get on Facebook... I don't think I can handle Twitter yet!

Thing2 - The Exciting RSS Section

It's similar to the Brass section, but less loud....

So, I'm fully Google Reader-ed up and have found some feeds to add, put them in folders, accidentally set one feed as my start page, then decided that's a good thing - but I want a different feed, so spent 2 minutes working out how to change it... learning curve zipping upwards.
I've dipped my toe in the RSS feed world before with Netvibes and before that via NLH, but I kept running away from the flowing waters of RSS reason and returning to frolic on insanity beach (otherwise known as multiple bulletins). I'm beginning to be a convert I think (joining the modern age)... I've just got to spend more time getting the hang of it and finding the right way to utilise them for me... So now I'm all enthused - of course, by Monday I'll have forgotten it all!!!

Busy again...

So ... everyone is dropping like flies - illness rearing it's ugly head, and all of a sudden I find I haven't fitted in doing anything 12things related and apart from recognising that thing 2 was available I haven't been back... so off to re-read thing2 I go (guilty much...)

Busy week

So I'm having a busy week... checking out blogging for the first time, clinical meetings, literature searching, teaching F2s, library promotional stand at Partners in Care conference, individual training sessions... first time I've managed to get back to here to add anything else. Took me two attempts to login... doesn't bode well I suspect if I can't even get the hang of that... (I suspect that's 'cos I couldn't read my own handwriting... must the influence of all these scribbling medics!)

Learning curve...

Well, part 3 going well so far too... meeting folk and managed to post comments, small hiccup when I coudln't read the words to allow you to publish. Seeing as I had a card from the opticians through the door eysterday, perhaps it really is time for an eye test!

Well... here's a first. Never blogged before, so 12 Things now opening my eyes to the online world I've not yet embraced. Hi All @ 12 Things! I'm doing 12 Things as I really need to join the 21st C!
